Mobile Phone Verification for B2

When you first set up your B2, you will need to verify your account using your mobile phone number. You’ll automatically be prompted to go to My Settings to set up a phone number for your account. The mobile phone number you enter MUST be able to receive SMS messages.

 

Once in the My Settings area, you’ll need to enter your Backblaze account password  and the mobile phone number (remember - it must support SMS messages!). Then, click Send Code. Once you receive the 6 digit code on your mobile phone, type it into the verification field and click to Verify.

 

If you do not receive an SMS code, please let us know at help.backblaze.com. Either submit an email ticket, or you can also access our chat support weekdays from 9am - 12 pm and 1pm - 5 pm PT by scrolling to the bottom of the help page and clicking the “Chat with Us!” bubble.

Once you’ve successfully verified your account, you can enable your two factor authentication. You can completely disable two factor for your account, set it to be required once every 7 days, or require two factor authentication for every sign in.
